Events and activities for home educators
What’s on in the city
For a comprehensive list of events and activities, Visit Southampton has up to date information on events in the city and surrounding areas.
SeaCity Museum, Southampton City Art Gallery and Tudor House and Garden offer a reduced, pre-booked entrance rate for home educators. Besides holiday activities, they also offer term-time workshops and tours for home education groups. For information on costs or to book your visit, please contact:

Local home education groups
One of the many benefits of joining a home education group is that experienced home educators are very knowledgeable about learning opportunities locally, particularly if they are free to access. Contact details for groups can be found on the Support for Home Education page.

National Citizen Service (NCS)
NCS exists to engage, unite and empower young people, building confidence so they can achieve their dreams, no matter where they are from or what their background is.
Designed especially for 16 and 17 year olds (although you can go on the programme as a 15-year-old as long as you turn 16 on or by 31 August of the year you apply for), the NCS experience gives young people a clearer idea of what they want from their future, turning all those ‘No You Cant’s’ into ‘No We Can’.
