School enrolment advice for home educators

The following section provides some advice around instances that occur relating to school enrolment.

No plans to take up the school place offered

If you decide not to take up a place allocated for your child to start school, or join a school, because you will be home educating instead, please notify Inclusion Services.

No plans to transition

If you do not intend to apply for a junior or secondary school place for your child because you will be home educating instead, please notify the Admission Team so they they do not automatically allocate your child a school place.

I would like to re-enrol my child in school

Parents who currently home educate and wish to return their child to school will need to make an in-year school place application online.
