Notice to remove free parking in Shirley and other outlying shopping areas in Southampton will not help local businesses. The High Streets are already struggling and people will shop where there is free parking. People in turn will park in the back streets which will cause complaints from Homeowners and then parking permits would probably have to be issued to stop this
