To receive any apologies and changes to membership.

RESOLVED that apologies were received from Lucy Hepinstall, Sam Jordan,  Cllr Kataria, Cllr Laurent and Cllr Magee.

To review SACRE Constitution including Membership.

SACRE members received the report of the Professional Advisor, which detailed recommendations to be made to Southampton City Council Cabinet for proposed changes to SACRE membership. 

RG (Chair) advised SACRE members of  the five items on which they were to vote, and that the resulting votes must be unanimous within each voting group. Sarita Riley attended the meeting to advise and clarify on points of law and the Constitution.

AP advised that current recommendations were pending a further review following the release of the most recent Census data due to be published in early 2022.

RESOLVED not to recommend to Southampton City Council Cabinet the proposal to  approve a non-religious affiliate member into group A.

RESOLVED to recommend to Southampton City Council Cabinet all other proposed changes as detailed in the report.
