To consider the report of the Cabinet Member for Finance seeking endorsement of a replacement Procurement Strategy.

To approve the Procurement Strategy.

1.  The current Procurement Strategy no longer reflects the council’s approach to procurement.

2.  The Strategy has been streamlined to ensure a clear and concise summary of the council’s vision and approach to procurement.

The alternative option is to not review and develop the Strategy approved in 2005.  This is not recommended as it is important for the Council to provide a clear and accessible statement of intent about its approach to procurement to meet Council needs.
