To consider the report of the Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport seeking approval to add additional funding to the Environment and Transport Capital Programme to be spent on the addition of bridges to Prosperity Local Pinch Point funding.
i. Subject to the decision of Council to approve the recommendations set out above, to approve the procurement and delivery of the Bridges to Prosperity capital scheme; and
ii. To delegate authority to the Interim Director of Environment and Economy to make decisions necessary to procure and deliver the Bridges to Prosperity scheme within the overall approved budget.
Council could refuse to accept the offer of additional funding from DfT. This would reduce the ability to repair and maintain the key structures in the City and could lead to reputational damage to the City Council, having submitted the bid.
