The Learning Disabilities Partnership Board is made up of a wide range of stakeholders that meet to discuss topics related to people with learning disabilities. The board uses it’s time to hear how the issues affect people with learning disabilities and their carers, but also consider and reflect on, how their individual agencies can take action to support improvements.
The board is co-chaired between the Cabinet Member for Adult Care and members of the ‘Busy People’ self-advocacy group of individuals with learning disabilities. The board meets every 6 weeks and includes representatives from carers of people with learning disabilities, health & social care representatives and service provider representatives. Other people are invited based on the topics being discussed.
