The transfer of directly provided Adult social care services to an alternative organisational form.

To consider a report of the Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health.

 

In order to maintain market management and achieve the efficient and cost effective provision of social care services currently provided directly by Southampton City Council, it is proposed that Southampton City Council contracts with an alternative provider. The services consist of residential homes, a domiciliary reablement service and day services for people with learning disability and physical disability.

Slippage/Variations/Reason for Withdrawal: As early investigation into this item indicated that a transfer may introduce a pressure it was decided to delay consideration in order to carry out further investigation.
