Circulation of the draft report to officers in key Council departments and relevant Cabinet Members. Consultation was undertaken as part of the development of the overarching Connected Southampton Transport Strategy 2040, which was adopted as Council policy in March 2019. This process involved a 12-week statutory consultation, which resulted in 1,413 submissions from residents, businesses and other stakeholders via an online survey, events/meetings and written and email correspondence. The schemes set out in the accompanying Implementation Plan are consistent with the policies set out in the adopted Transport Strategy.

Officers in key Council departments and relevant Cabinet Members. Prior to the publication of the Cabinet report in February 2022, we will consult with the Cabinet Member for Growth, the Executive Director of Place, Head of Green City and Infrastructure and Officers in Democratic, Legal, Finance and Property Services.
Additional consultation with residents, local user groups and Ward Members will be undertaken as part of scheme development, including people with protected characteristics defined by the by the Equalities Act.
