AP presented the revised syllabus after which there was a discussion. It was noted that extensive debate and discussion had taken place about the chosen Golden Thread words and the diverse approaches to those words across the Key Stages.

RESOLVED that the rational and the definition of Golden Thread be agreed.

RESOLVED that AP would add an appendix to make it clear how many of the Golden Thread concepts could be used and if they could be looked at separately or collectively. It was agreed that every child should have a common understanding across the city at any school.

RESOLVED that AP should include the strengthened rationale in a separate appendix for the  Launch and CPD.

RESOLVED that AP would share slides with all members following the amendment of one slide.

RESOLVEDthatGroups A to D voted unanimously to recommend the revised syllabus to the Local Authority.
