To consider a report of the Head of Highways and Parking Services detailing unresolved objections to the proposed introduction of no waiting at any time restrictions in the vicinity of the junction of Bassett Green Close and Bassett Green Road as part of the formal legal process of consultation with regard to Traffic Regulation Orders.
On consideration of the report of the Head of Highways and Parking Services concerning objections received during public consultations on proposals for introducing no waiting at any time parking restrictions in the vicinity of the junction of Bassett Green Road and Bassett Green Close, Cabinet made the following decision:-
(i) To approve the revised scheme set out in Appendix 2 of the report with an amendment that the second bay outside 57/59 Bassett Green Close is removed from the scheme and replaced with no waiting at any time. The operation of the scheme to be reviewed no later than end of the Academic year 2010/11.
To meet the needs of residents to control non-resident parking, meet safety concerns raised by consultees and ensure any scheme is fit for purpose and does not act to cause significant displacement of the problem elsewhere.
