To consider the report of the Cabinet Member for Homes and Culture detailing the Southampton Homelessness Prevention Startegy 2018 - 2023.

Decision:

To approve the Homelessness Prevention Strategy 2018-2023. 

Reasons for the decision:

It is a statutory requirement for Local Authorities to review homelessness within its district every 5 years and produce a strategy which focuses on:

•  preventing homelessness in their district;

•  securing that sufficient accommodation is and will be available for people in their district who are or may become homeless;

•  securing the satisfactory provision of support for people in their district.
