Whatever you want to say – we’re listening!
Our Tenant Engagement team offer a wide range of opportunities for you to engage with the council and hold us to account; from joining a formal group or feedback panel, volunteering on an individual basis, completing a quick survey or attending a training session.
A recent survey conducted by the Tenant Engagement team amongst involved tenants clearly shows the benefits of getting involved and speaking up:
- 85% of respondents felt they were treated with fairness and respect
- 76% of respondents felt they were listened to
- 98% of respondents found training sessions useful
- 79% of respondents felt their involvement led to improvements in the housing service
Get involved
If you are interested in a particular aspect of the housing service – from repairs to finance, fire safety to grass cutting - you can volunteer to help us look in more detail, suggest improvements and hold us to account.
- Become a Tenant Inspector to put our services under the spotlight
- Join the Repairs Panel to suggest improvements to the repairs and maintenance service
- Sit on the Tenant Resource Group to look at how the housing budget is spent
- Join the Tenant Scrutiny Panel to challenge us on how the Housing Service sets and meets targets
- Raise concerns or ask questions on building and fire safety issues by joining the Building Safety Group
- Join your local Tenants and Residents Association (or ask us to help you establish one) to raise local concerns and get involved in community activities
- Volunteer as a Block or Street rep to represent your neighbours, raise local issues and work with us to get problems resolved
- Help keep local green areas clean and tidy by becoming a Green Space Monitor and completing a short monthly questionnaire
