Support and advice to help you find a new or better job

Looking for a new or a better job to increase your income? Our T.E.E.M project can help.

A free, dedicated service for council tenants, our team of Employment Officers are on hand to offer advice, support and guidance every step of the way.

Whether you’re looking for a new job, want to return to the workforce, or find an additional job to top up your earnings, T.E.E.M offers personal support tailored to your needs. Your Employment Officer will get to know you to help you find work; from helping you to update your CV to preparing for interviews.

Even if you’re working on other DWP provision like Restart or JETS, you can still get additional support from T.E.E.M, giving you extra support and opportunities to land your next job.

T.E.E.M can help you with:

  • Creating or updating your CV
  • Job searching and tapping into the ‘hidden job market’
  • Preparing for interviews
  • Signposting to support with benefits, housing, child care and cost of living
  • In work support and support claiming Access to Work
  • Advice around disclosure

We also run free work clubs every week across the city where you can drop in for advice, to use the computers and access free wi-fi, or just to have some dedicated time each week to look for work. There’s no need to book or commit to regular appointments, just drop in as and when you need support. T.E.E.M work clubs take place every week at:

  • Bitterne Library, Mondays 10am-12pm
  • Weston Library, Mondays 1pm-3pm
  • Northam Community Centre, Wednesdays 10am-12pm
