Off to a clean start in 2024
Off to a clean start in 2024
Meet Justyna and Mark who will be making sure the communal areas in blocks are kept spick and span.
The two Supervisors manage a team of 26 staff citywide who regularly clean the shared areas in tower and walk-up blocks including communal entrances, walkways and stairwells. This includes mopping floors, cleaning windows, doors, walls, lifts, stairs and handrails to ensure blocks look their best.
Justyna and Mark are in charge of quality control. They carry out regular inspections and monitor the work of local cleaning teams to maintain high standards and swiftly address any issues. They will also be looking at what needs to be tailored to the specific needs of each block and will be busy fine-tuning the cleaning procedures as necessary in different areas to ensure a quality and consistent service across the city.
As well as keeping an eye on standards, the new Supervisors are also on hand to provide guidance, training and support to their team and ensure every cleaner is doing a good job and working effectively.
Although they only took up their posts in January, we hope that you can already see a marked improvement in the standard of cleaning in your block. A third Supervisor will be recruited soon to further enhance the cleaning service.
Your feedback is crucial to helping us ensure the cleaning service is working well so if you have any comments, queries or suggestions about the cleanliness of your block please contact your Local Housing Office and we will liaise with Justyna and Mark to ensure your comments are addressed. And if you would like to help us to keep a regular watch on the cleaning service you can volunteer as a Tenant Cleaning Monitor which involves completing a short survey once a month about cleaning standards and any areas we need to improve on.
