New payment card makes paying your rent even easier
New payment card makes paying your rent even easier
Following requests from tenants we’ve re-introduced payment cards so that you can pay your rent or council tax quickly and easily at the Post Office or any shop displaying the PayPoint logo.
The payment card stores all your personal information which means all you have to do is hand it over at the counter along with your rent money – there’s no need to fill in forms or remember your rent account details each time. So, if you’re out shopping you’ll be able to pay your rent at the same time.
If you would like to request a payment card to make paying your rent more convenient simply let us know by sending us an email or calling 023 8083 2556, and let us know your full name, address, contact number and your 8-digit payment reference.
As well as using a payment card there several other convenient ways to pay:
- Set up a Direct Debit or Standing Order and never worry about missing a rent payment ever again. To set up a Direct Debit please call 023 8083 3388
- Make an online payment (and you can also check your rent account online)
- Use your debit or credit card to make a payment over the phone. Call our 24-hour automated phone line on 023 8083 3001 and follow the instructions. However you pay your rent it is essential that you keep up to date with payments as if you slip into arrears you could end up losing your home
As explained in our article on how rents are changing, from next month you will notice a difference in when and how much rent you need to pay. We are moving from a 48 to a 52-week rent year, so from April you will have to pay rent every week of the year. Make sure you know how much you need to pay and if you're struggling to make ends meet please get in touch with our Customer Payment and Debt Team or call 023 8083 3388.
