Helping more young people into work
Helping more young people into work
The hub provides free, specialist advice to support young people into work, training or apprenticeships, whilst improving health and wellbeing among 16-25 year olds living in the city.
Our team of Employment Officers, Work Coaches and Youth Workers are on hand to help with a range of issues affecting young people such as housing, benefits and how to develop employability skills. Support is available on a one to one basis to help everyone achieve their specific employment goals.
If you’re aged 16-25 and would like to find out more, simply leave a note in your Universal Credit journal asking to be referred to the Young Adults Employment Hub or send us an email on employment.support.team@southampton.gov.uk.
You’ll be able to meet with us on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or by phone initially, and when restrictions are lifted, we will be offering face-to-face meetings in our dedicated city centre hub.
The Young Adults Employment Hub will utilise a wealth of virtual tools including web chat, video conferencing, online resources and podcasts to help you find out about support available in the city in order to achieve your potential.
We are proud to have launched the exciting new service in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and No Limits.
We’re always looking at ways to improve our online employment advice service, so if you have any ideas or would like to share your feedback, please take five minutes to complete our short online survey.
