Talk about Pension Credit
You may have heard in the news that this year’s winter fuel payment will only be paid to pensioners receiving certain benefits, including Pension Credit. But with thousands of pensioners eligible but not claiming, there is a worry that many older people will miss out on much needed financial help this winter.
So if you have a friend or family member over state pension age who isn’t already receiving Pension Credit, please chat with them and help them to see if they’re entitled to make a claim. Anyone who is eligible for Pension Credit will automatically quality for other benefits such as Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction, a free TV Licence (for over 75s), Warm Homes Discount, free dental treatment and eye care.
Listening to your views
Earlier this year we conducted a detailed survey asking for your views on your home and the housing service, as part of the new government Tenant Satisfaction Measures. The measures have been introduced so that social housing tenants nationwide can see how well their landlord is doing at providing good quality homes and services, and where improvements are needed. Download a copy of the report and remember you can get in touch anytime to give us your feedback on our housing service.
