T.E.E.M (Training, Education, Employment & Motivation)
T.E.E.M (Training, Education, Employment & Motivation) is Southampton City Council’s employment support service for Southampton council tenants.
Whether you’re looking for a new job, want to return to the workforce, or find an additional job to top up your earning, our dedicated team of Employment Officers are on hand to offer advice, support and guidance every step of the way.
T.E.E.M offers support tailored to your needs on a one-to-one basis. Your Employment Officer will get to know you and assist you with finding work, from supporting to update CVs to helping you prepare for interviews.
Even if you’re working on other DWP provision like Restart or Work and Health Programme, you can still get additional support from T.E.E.M, giving you extra support and opportunities to land your next job.
T.E.E.M can help with:
- Creating or updating CVs
- Job searching and tapping into the ‘hidden job market’
- Preparing for interviews
- Signposting to support with benefits, housing, childcare and cost of living
- In work support and support claiming Access to Work
- Advice around disclosure
We run free Work Clubs in Bitterne, Thornhill, Lordshill and the city centre for people to drop in.
Community Meetings
Our team is available to meet with you in community settings like cafes or local libraries. Every week, we can be found in the following areas of Southampton:
- Bitterne Library – Open access drop in open every Monday 10am-12pm
- Thornhill Library – T.E.E.M Work Club, every Tuesday 10am-12pm
- Lordshill Library - T.E.E.M Work Club, every Wednesday 10am-12pm
- Central Library – Open access drop in open every Thursday 3pm-5pm
Please note, 1-to-1 meetings are only available for Southampton council tenants. Use our booking link below to book a 1 to 1 meeting with one of our team. If you are not a council tenant, please drop in to our Monday or Thursday work clubs.
