EV Cargo has signed a ten year lease for 10,579 sq. ft. of prime office space on the ground and first floors of 3 Waterside Place. The building forms part of Southampton’s Town Quay development, which incorporates offices, leisure facilities, and the Red Funnel terminal from which passengers are whisked over the Solent to the Isle of Wight, contributing to the upbeat and appealing ambience of the area. The building is immediately adjacent to the A33, which is the main thoroughfare through the city, providing excellent road access.
3 Waterside Place’s sustainability credentials include bike storage, EV charging points, energy efficient lighting throughout the building, low flush WCs, and water efficient taps and showers. The property, which boasts a commanding view of the marina, optimises the concept of waterside wellness which is reflected in its two star Fitwel certification. Fitwel is a high impact building certification designed to support healthier workplace environments and improve occupant health and productivity.
David Kershaw, Group Real Estate Director, the RO commented:
“We would like to extend a very warm welcome to EV Cargo in their new offices. Surrounded by fresh sea air and green space, their employees are able to maintain a healthy lifestyle at work, whilst easy access to an abundance of cafes, restaurants and wide variety of entertainment options mean that there is plenty of chance for fun and essential social interaction.
“Everything in 3 Waterside Place has recently been redesigned to create an inviting environment that improves occupant health and productivity, and we wish all of EV Cargo’s employees a happy and fruitful working experience.”
