As the local Burial Authority, we have access to information on burials and cremations in Southampton going back to 1846 and 1943 respectively. We are therefore able to provide an unrivalled genealogy service for those who are researching their family history, or trying to locate the final resting place of their loved ones in the city.

Please write to us or send an email to bereavement.services@southampton.gov.uk providing as much detail as you can about the person you are wishing to locate - full name and date of death (if known) are very helpful. There is a charge for this service.
