Request to have a tree protected
If you feel a tree should be protected you can make a request to protect a tree.

You will need to provide the following details:
Site address
Location of tree on site (for example right corner of front garden)
Reason for request (for example if there is a known threat to the tree)
Update about an enquiry
If you would like an update about an existing private tree enquiry you can request an update.
Purchase a copy of a Tree Preservation Order (TPO)
Tree Preservation Orders can be viewed online by using the TPO map.
Contact the trees team about copies of a Tree Preservation Order.
Fees
A copy of a Tree Preservation Order by email is free.
A paper copy of a Tree Preservation Order is £36.
Payment can be in cash or by cheque made payable to Southampton City Council.
Cheque payments can also be made by post with a cover letter including the order reference or name:
