DSL CPD Sessions
We will be holding Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for the city's DSL’s.
These will be held in person and will be based around key themes going on in the city. These sessions will entail scenarios and discussion based problem solving with your colleagues from across the city.
This will also be a great networking opportunity and a chance to raise any questions that you may have relating to these issues for further discussion.
The sessions are free of charge.

DSL and Governors Prevent Focussed Briefing
Thursday 20 June 2024 - 3.30pm-5pm - Virtual on Microsoft Teams
A Teams briefing with activities for DSLs/Prevent leads to work with Governors. Focus on updated national guidance, education settings responsibilities, prevent toolkit and processes. Highlighted as an area of focus in Self-evaluations – use of Prevent toolkit.
Please book a space through training support so engagement against actions can be linked.
Open to any education setting using Southampton processes, free of charge.
Also suitable for LA officers working with young people and schools, and assured providers of Alternative Provision.
